Feeding your Demons

Access your inner wisdom and intuition through this powerful practice

When faced with unpleasant or overwhelming emotions, we often push away what we are feeling. But what we resist persists. Our fears, blockages and unhealthy patterns become stronger the more we fight them, and they prevent us from finding emotional balance.

Feeding your Demons (FYD) was adapted by the buddhist teacher Lama Tsultrim Allione from the Tibetan Chöd practice of Machig Labdrön who lived in the 11th century.

The work transcends spiritual constructs, serving as a meaningfuil tool for anybody, regardless of religious affiliation or personal philosophy. 

It is a profoundly effective 5-step method for recognizing and shifting the deep-seated patterns and triggers that undermine the quality and enjoyment of our lives.

Through body awareness, visualisation and inner dialogue, you give name and emotion to your demon, feed her what she feels she needs, which then satisfies her.

Next you meet your ally and learn all the wonderful ways that your wisdom self will help and protect you. You are reminded of your strength, wisdom and power.

The practice ends with a knowledge of how to tame your demons and with experiencing a deep sense of relaxation and comfort.
